UiA Invitational
The UiA Invitational was a student-led project within the Academic Esports programme, where our class was tasked with executing a national tournament featuring League of Legends and CS:GO. The event was open to high school teams across Norway and developed over several months from concept to delivery.
I took on the role of Project Manager, overseeing the entire class and guiding the project from start to finish. My responsibilities included creating the overall structure, assigning students to teams based on key roles (such as marketing, tournament ops, media, and sponsorship), and appointing team leads to ensure accountability and direction.
To keep the project on track, I introduced systems for communication, documentation, task tracking, and deadlines. I also facilitated regular meetings to maintain momentum, address challenges, and resolve conflicts when they arose.
The tournament attracted sponsorship, was successfully executed, and served as a strong learning opportunity—particularly in managing a large and varied group of peers. The experience helped develop my leadership and coordination skills while delivering a meaningful esports event at the national level.
