Teknologidagen 2025

Teknologidagen 2025 brought more than 250 high school students to the University of Agder for a day focused on technology, innovation, and future study opportunities. As part of the programme, I conceptualised and executed the Bluebox event showcasing Academic Esports at UiA.

The event was designed to introduce students to esports through hands on activities and demonstrations using equipment from the Academic Esports environment. The goal was to give students an engaging experience while highlighting how gaming technology can connect to education, digital skills, and future career opportunities.

To deliver the event, I led and coordinated a team of 10 volunteers responsible for setup, equipment management, and guiding students through the activities throughout the day. Ensuring the event ran smoothly required organising the space, planning the activities, and coordinating volunteers during the high volume of visiting students.

Alongside the activities, I delivered a presentation introducing esports as a global industry, the skill sets it develops, and how the Academic Esports programme at the University of Agder integrates gaming, technology, and education. The talk aimed to expand students’ understanding of esports beyond competition and demonstrate how it can connect to broader technology and creative industries.

Teknologidagen provided an important opportunity to engage younger students with emerging fields and demonstrate how academic esports can serve as a bridge between gaming culture, education, and future careers.
